How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    * Attend formal meetings where required, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with HR processes.
    * Support TUPE processes for block staff transfers, including preparing documentation, coordinating with relevant parties and assisting with consultation meetings.
    * Manage onboarding activities for new block staff, including offers, contracts, compliance checks and HR system setup.
    * Maintain accurate employee records within BambooHR and ensure people data remains up to date.
    * Support payroll reporting by ensuring starters, leavers and employee changes are recorded accurately.

    * Provide general HR support and administrative cover during periods of high demand.
    About You
    You will have:
    * A minimum of 2 years' experience in a generalist HR or Employee Relations-focused role.
    * Experience providing HR advice and support to managers.
    * A good understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice.
    * Experience supporting disciplinary, grievance, absence and performance processes.
    * Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    * Excellent organisation skills with strong attention to detail.
    * Experience using HR systems such as BambooHR or similar HRIS platforms.
    * CIPD Level 5 (or currently working towards it) is desirable.
    Skills & Attributes
    You are:
    * Approachable, professional and confident when supporting managers.
    * Empathetic while maintaining appropriate professionalism when handling sensitive situations.
    * Organised, reliable and able to manage multiple priorities.
    * A collaborative team player with a proactive approach.
    * Committed to confidentiality, fairness and continuous improvement.
    Why Join Us?
    * Hybrid Working: Flexible set up with remote work options.
    * Holiday and Leave: Extra days holiday leave for length of service plus a 4-week sabbatical on top of holiday allowance after 5 years' service.
    * Enhanced Benefits: We offer enhanced maternity/paternity pay to support you during important life events.
