How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Are you an F-Gas qualified Air Conditioning Engineer who is looking for career progression with a genuine route off the tools into management?

Do you want to join a small, close-knit business where you'll build and lead the air conditioning side of the company?

This is a growing renewables and building services specialist working across domestic and commercial projects in Cambridgeshire. They have built a strong reputation in the area through their levels of service, expanding steadily into heat pumps, solar and air conditioning.

Longer term, you will come off the tools, grow your own team of engineers and take ownership of the AC division as the company pushes further into the commercial market.

The successful candidate will be F-Gas qualified with a full UK driving licence and solid experience across both domestic and commercial air conditioning. You will be comfortable managing your own diary, dealing with customers directly and going the extra mile.

This is a rare opportunity for an ambitious AC Engineer to join a business at the point where the air conditioning side is about to scale, and to be the person who leads it.

    The Role:

    * Installation, service and fault finding on domestic and commercial AC systems
    * Split, multi-split and VRV systems
    * 40-50 mile radius of Cambridge
    * Clear progression to come off the tools and manage your own AC team

    The Person:

    * Domestic and commercial air conditioning experience
    * F-Gas qualified
    * Strong customer-facing manner and able to work autonomously
    * Full UK driving licence and commutable to Cambridge
