Senior Social Worker – Assessment & Intervention
Southwark, Surrey | £39.04 per hour (Umbrella)
We are seeking an experienced Senior Social Worker to join an Assessment and Intervention Service in Southwark. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled children’s social worker to work with children and families, undertake complex assessments and help achieve positive outcomes for children.
Key Responsibilities
* Undertake assessments of children and their families.
* Carry out home visits and meaningful direct work with children.
* Undertake Section 47 enquiries and child protection work.
* Complete risk assessments and develop effective safety plans.
* Manage complex cases and make sound professional decisions.
* Work collaboratively with families and multi-agency professionals.
* Participate in the team’s duty rota.
Essential Requirements
* Minimum 5 years’ post-qualified Social Work experience.
* Completed ASYE.
* At least 3 years’ experience in a permanent Social Worker role.
* Previous experience working within a Children’s Assessment Team is essential.
* Strong knowledge of safeguarding, child protection, risk assessment and safety planning.
* Confident undertaking direct work with children and families.
