How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    This role has a starting salary of £31,659 per annum, based on a 36 hour working week. This is a fixed term contract / secondment opportunity for 12 months.

    We are hiring a HR Transactions Officer to join our friendly and supportive HR Transaction Team on a fixed term/secondment basis. The position will be based at Surreys Dakota building in Weybridge. The position is open to hybrid working with 2 days a week required to be in the office.

    As an HR Transaction Officer, you will be responsible for processing a wide range of employee transactions and maintaining accurate workforce and payroll-related records. You will support the administration of contractual changes, family leave, sickness absence and employee pay records, ensuring information is entered accurately and processed within agreed timescales.

    Working as part of a busy team, you will provide a responsive service to employees and managers, maintaining high standards of accuracy, confidentiality and customer care.

    What You'll Be Doing

    Processing a range of HR and payroll-related employee transactions accurately and efficiently.
    Creating, maintaining and updating electronic employee records and payroll information.
    Processing contractual changes, including changes to working hours and employment details.
    Setting up and maintaining employee payroll records and ensuring data is accurate and up to date.
    Administering maternity, paternity, adoption and other family-related leave arrangements.
    Processing sickness absence information and associated pay implications.
    Investigating and supporting the resolution of payroll discrepancies, including overpayments and underpayments.
    Responding to enquiries from employees and managers in a timely, professional and customer-focused manner.
    Managing electronic documentation and employee records in line with agreed procedures and compliance requirements.
    Ensuring the accuracy and integrity of employee data held within HR and payroll systems.
    Supporting continuous improvement of processes and ways of working.Your Application
