Electrically biased, multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer required for a maintenance role at a large, long-standing Telford based manufacturer. Offering competitive salary, excellent overtime availability and additional earning potential. You will be joining a diverse team of engineers from various sectors and become a valued member of the engineering team on the company’s day shift.
JOB OUTLINE
The successful Electrical Maintenance Engineer will provide electrical breakdown cover on automated fast-moving equipment as well as the service and repair of production equipment in line with FMCG policies and safe working procedures.
THE ROLE:
* Continuous improvement of equipment, supporting PPM activities to a high standard
* Provide day-to-day electrical and mechanical breakdown support for the production team, ensuring downtime is kept to a minimum
* An active position in generating ideas for improvement, whilst ensuring current plant/equipment is maintained to a high standard
* Electrical fault-finding to a high level
* Installation of new machinery and control panels.
THE CANDIDATE:
* Strong Electrical Maintenance Experience within a manufacturing/production environment
* Experience in fast-paced working environment essential
* A team player with plenty of ideas and enthusiasm and able to work under pressure.
* Open-mindedness to learn new techniques & technology.
* Excellent electrical fault diagnosis skills
* Formal qualifications to NVQ, C&G or ONC, HNC desirable
* PLC/Automation experience desirable but not essential
* Time served apprenticeship in electrical discipline advantageous
