How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Electro-Mechanical Winder
    Location: Sunbury-on-Thames, Surrey
Build It. Test It. Get It Right. We’re looking for a hands-on Electro-Mechanical Winder to join our manufacturing team.
You’ll build, inspect, test, repair and upgrade electro-mechanical assemblies, working from technical drawings and manufacturing instructions. If you’re practical, precise and take pride in producing high-quality work, this could be a great opportunity.
    The Role
    * Build electro-mechanical assemblies from technical drawings, CMMs and SOPs.
    * Work on motors, fans, heaters and other electro-mechanical products.
    * Use hand tools and precision measuring equipment including torque drivers, micrometers and verniers.
    * Carry out drilling, tapping, reaming, countersinking, filing, lapping, buffing and lubrication.
    * Connect cables and wiring to technical specifications.
    * Inspect and test completed assemblies, identifying and troubleshooting faults.
    * Carry out repairs and upgrades where required.
    * Complete manufacturing and quality documentation accurately.
    * Maintain equipment and a clean, safe working environment.
    * Follow all manufacturing, quality and safety procedures.
    * Contribute to 5S and Continuous Improvement activities.
    * Work closely with colleagues and support customers, suppliers and visitors when required.
    * Support training and other manufacturing activities when needed.
    What We’re Looking For
    * Previous experience in electro-mechanical assembly, manufacturing or engineering is advantageous.
    * Comfortable working from technical drawings and manufacturing instructions.
    * Confident using hand tools and measuring equipment.
    * Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
    * Practical, reliable and methodical approach to work.
    * Good communication and teamwork skills.
    * Flexible attitude and willingness to learn.
    * Able to work safely and meet production deadlines.
Why Join? This is a genuinely hands-on manufacturing role where precision matters and your work makes a difference.
You’ll work on a variety of electro-mechanical products, develop your technical skills and be part of a team focused on quality, efficiency and continuous improvement.
