How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

    Location: Bristol

    Job Type: Full-Time Long Term (5 days a week), Day to Day Supply

    Pay Rate: £95 - £110 per day

    Job Overview:
    Looking for a rewarding role in education? Supply Staff Ltd is seeking a compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant for full-time, long-term positions and day to day supply work across Bristol. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students with special educational needs, providing tailored support to help them thrive in the classroom. The ideal SEN Teaching Assistant will have experience or training in supporting students with additional learning needs, although aspiring SEN Teaching Assistants are also welcome to apply.

    Key Responsibilities:
    * Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with SEN.
    * Assist the SEN Teaching Assistant team with classroom activities and individual learning goals.
    * Support students with personal development and social integration.
    * Work closely with teachers to monitor student progress and adapt learning materials.
    * Participate in team meetings, training sessions and school activities.

    Requirements:
    * Experience or training in supporting SEN students is desirable.
    * Strong communication skills, patience and empathy.
    * Passion for helping children with additional learning needs.
    * Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
    * Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willing to apply.
    * Full compliance with standard UK school safeguarding regulations.
