The successful candidate will be responsible for polishing and finishing a range of metal components, primarily aluminium, ensuring all work meets the required quality and customer standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out polishing and finishing operations on various metals, primarily aluminium.
* Use hand tools, power tools and specialist polishing equipment.
* Inspect surfaces before and after polishing to identify scratches, defects and imperfections.
* Prepare materials by cleaning, degreasing and applying appropriate compounds or coatings.
* Monitor the quality of finished surfaces and make adjustments where required.
* Maintain and clean polishing equipment to ensure it remains in good working condition.
* Identify and troubleshoot issues with polishing processes, equipment and materials.
* Maintain accurate records of processes, materials and quality inspections.
About You
* Excellent attention to detail and a strong eye for quality.
* Previous experience in a polishing, finishing or similar manufacturing role is desirable.
* Able to read and understand technical drawings.
* Practical and hands-on approach to problem solving.
* Able to work independently as well as part of a wider production team.
* Reliable, organised and committed to maintaining high-quality standards.
Working Hours
Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm
40 hours per week
Salary
Up to £17.00 per hour, depending on experience.
