How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Warehouse Operative / Storesperson
    Location: Coleraine for 6 months then Derry for 6 months, Northen Ireland
    Salary: Competitive, DOE + Excellent Benefits!
    Contract Type: Full-Time, Temporary - 12months
    Hours: 45 hours (7am-5pm)

    About the Warehouse Operative Role and what you will be doing:
    Are you highly organised, proactive, and thrive in a fast-paced environment We are looking for a Storeman to join our team on a major HV substation project.
    As a key member of the site support team, you will play a vital role in managing materials, coordinating deliveries, maintaining accurate inventory records, and supporting operational activities across site.
    As our Warehouse Operative you will:
    * Receive, inspect, and record deliveries, ensuring all stock arrives in good condition.
    * Organise and maintain warehouse and storage areas to ensure materials are easily accessible and stored safely.
    * Manage stock levels and maintain accurate inventory records.
    * Process goods-in and goods-out transactions using stock control systems.
    * Source and collect small materials required for day-to-day site operations.
    * Carry out regular stock checks and report shortages or discrepancies.
    * Ensure tools, equipment, and PPE are maintained and fit for purpose.
    * Report defective materials, equipment, or safety concerns to site management.
    * Maintain high standards of housekeeping within warehouse and welfare areas.
    * Attend toolbox talks, safety briefings, and required training sessions.
    * Safely operate a forklift/counterbalance to move materials around the site.
    * Work in accordance with site RAMS, company procedures, and health and safety requirements.
    Candidate Requirements:
    Essential
    * Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, stores, or materials management role.
    * Experience working on construction, infrastructure, utilities, or industrial projects.
    * Good understanding of stock control and inventory management.
    * Strong organisational and communication skills.
    * Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    * Commitment to maintaining high health and safety standards.
    Desirable
    * Manual Handling certification.
    * First Aid qualification.
    * Experience using inventory or stock management systems.
    * Experience working in similar industries.
    * Forklift/Counterbalance licence (or other warehouse equipment training).
