We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Supervisor to lead and oversee daily warehouse operations within a dynamic logistics environment. This role is essential in ensuring efficient materials handling, accurate shipping and receiving, and optimal inventory management. As a key player in our supply chain operations, you will drive process improvements, uphold safety standards, and ensure timely delivery of goods.
Duties
Supervise daily warehouse activities including materials handling, shipping, receiving, and inventory control to maintain operational efficiency.
Manage and coordinate a team of warehouse staff, providing training, guidance, and performance feedback.
Oversee the use of forklifts and other mechanical equipment to facilitate heavy lifting tasks safely and efficiently.
Implement process improvement initiatives to streamline workflows, reduce errors, and enhance productivity.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
Oversee shipping and receiving procedures, verifying accuracy of orders and documentation.
Support logistics planning by analysing workflow data to optimize storage layouts and operational procedures.
Skills
Proven experience in warehouse management with strong knowledge of materials handling techniques.
Mechanical knowledge related to forklift operation.
Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively while fostering a collaborative work environment.
Expertise in shipping & receiving processes, heavy lifting safety protocols, and inventory control.
Ability to identify process inefficiencies and implement continuous improvement strategies.
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
