How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    TIG WELDERS - HINKLEY POINT
    An excellent opportunity for skilled TIG Welders to join a specialist engineering contractor on Hinkley Point.
    Our client provides mechanical engineering, fabrication and installation services across highly regulated sectors throughout the UK. Due to continued project demand, they are looking to add experienced TIG Welders with strong 6G TIG and MMA experience to support ongoing works at Hinkley Point.
    This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Welders looking to secure long-term work on one of the UK's largest engineering and infrastructure projects.
    Hinkley Point
    Hourly Rates:
    Basic: £28.29 - £30.58
    Overtime A: £39.61 - £42.82
    Overtime B: £50.93 - £55.05
    *Overtime A: Monday – Thursday (after 8 hours of Basic Pay) / Friday (after 6 hours)
    *Overtime B: Saturday (after 4 hours of Basic Pay) / All hours on Sundays
    Allowances:

    Travel and lodge allowances in line with the applicable industry agreement.Role:
    We are currently seeking experienced 6G TIG Welders to carry out high-quality welding activities on a major industrial construction project. Candidates must be confident working in the 6G position and have proven experience across both TIG and MMA welding processes.
    The successful candidates will be expected to work accurately to approved welding procedures while maintaining strict quality and safety standards.
    Key Responsibilities:

    Carry out TIG welding in the 6G position.
    Complete MMA welding activities where required.
    Work in accordance with approved WPS and project specifications.
    Produce welds to the required quality and acceptance standards.
    Carry out preparation and inspection of work prior to welding.
    Work effectively as part of a site-based mechanical installation team.
    Adhere to strict site health, safety and quality procedures.
    Complete welding activities within agreed project timescales.Qualifications & Experience:

    NVQ Level 3 in Welding/Fabrication or recognised equivalent.
    Valid CCNSG, CSCS or recognised equivalent safety passport.
    Proven 6G TIG welding experience.
    Strong MMA welding experience.
    Experience working within heavy engineering, industrial construction or other highly regulated environments.
    Ability to work accurately to WPS and technical specifications.
    Previous experience on major industrial or nuclear projects would be advantageous.Working Pattern:

    Minimum 100 hours worked over a 10-day rotation.
    Additional overtime available, with the opportunity to work in excess of 108 hours over the same period.Benefits:
