How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Are you a creative Design or Marketing professional looking for your next opportunity in the Pocklington area? Do you enjoy using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop to create and amend artwork, while also getting involved with social media and marketing content? Are you someone who has a great eye for detail, enjoys plenty of variety and likes seeing a project through from artwork to print?

If so, this Design, Artwork & Social Media Coordinator job in the Pocklington area could be exactly what you're looking for.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a successful business with a friendly, down-to-earth working environment. You'll take on a varied role combining design, artwork, print and social media, giving you the opportunity to use both your creative and organisational skills.

You'll be creating and amending artwork, producing labels and marketing materials, supporting the company's social media presence and maintaining information on Shopify. Accuracy is particularly important, as you'll also be responsible for checking artwork and labels before they go to print and ensuring they meet relevant industry requirements.

This would suit someone who enjoys creativity but also likes the detail and organisation that goes on behind the scenes.

What the Design, Artwork & Social Media Coordinator job involves

As the Design, Artwork & Social Media Coordinator, you'll be responsible for a variety of activities, including:

Designing and printing labels and marketing materials within required timescales.

Creating and amending artwork using Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Illustrator and Photoshop.

Making changes to artwork including batch numbers, expiry dates, ingredients and layouts.

Creating and editing label text and templates.

Importing print-ready artwork and preparing labels for printing.

Proofreading artwork and peer reviewing colleagues' work to ensure everything is accurate before going to print.

Checking and approving labels against current industry legislation and requirements.

Supporting and maintaining the company's social media channels.

Helping to create engaging social media and marketing content for the business.

Managing and maintaining information on Shopify.

Supporting wider marketing activities and producing marketing materials when required.

Monitoring label stock levels and raising purchase orders when supplies are running low.

Answering incoming telephone calls, dealing with enquiries and directing calls to the appropriate person.

Taking accurate messages and making sure these are passed on promptly.

Preparing and sending company post, including mail-order customer orders.

Working closely with colleagues across the business and providing cover during periods of absence.

Supporting the wider team with additional duties when required.

    Skills required

We're looking for someone who combines creativity with excellent attention to detail and enjoys having plenty of variety in their working day. You'll ideally have:

An excellent working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Illustrator and Photoshop – this is essential for the role.

Previous experience within design, artwork, print, marketing, social media or a similar creative position.

Experience creating or supporting content for business social media channels.

A good eye for design and an understanding of how to create engaging visual content.

Excellent attention to detail with strong proofreading skills.

The ability to check artwork accurately before it goes to print.

Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage several different priorities.

The ability to work quickly and methodically without compromising on accuracy.

Strong communication skills and confidence dealing with telephone enquiries.

Good Microsoft Excel and Word skills.

Experience using Shopify would be advantageous.

Previous experience using Sage 200 or SAP Business One would also be beneficial, although not essential.

A positive, flexible attitude and a willingness to support colleagues as part of a close-knit team.

You may already be working as a Design Coordinator, Artwork Coordinator, Graphic Designer, Marketing & Design Assistant, Social Media & Design Coordinator, Marketing Coordinator or Creative Assistant and be looking for a varied position where you can use a broader range of your skills.
