How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Junior > Intermediate Quantity Surveyor x2 | Frankfurt, Germany | €40,000–€80,000 + Benefits | Data Centres & Power Infrastructure

Our client is a highly respected specialist contractor operating at the forefront of Europe's rapidly expanding data centre sector. Due to a significant increase in project awards and a strong pipeline of future work, they are seeking an ambitious Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Frankfurt.

Specialising in the delivery of critical power infrastructure and substation packages for hyperscale data centre developments, the company has established itself as a key partner to some of the world's largest technology and data centre operators. With continued growth across Germany and wider Europe, this is an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor looking to accelerate their career within one of the construction industry's fastest-growing sectors.

    The Opportunity

Based in Frankfurt, you will join an experienced commercial team delivering major power infrastructure and data centre projects across Germany.

Working alongside senior commercial professionals, project teams and clients, you will gain exposure to the full project lifecycle while developing your commercial, contractual and technical knowledge within a highly specialised market.

This role would suit someone looking to take the next step in their career with a business that can offer structured development, mentorship and long-term progression opportunities.

    Key Responsibilities

Support the commercial management of major substation and power infrastructure projects.
Assist with subcontract administration, valuations and variations.
Prepare and maintain cost reports and commercial documentation.
Support procurement activities and subcontractor engagement.
Assist with change management and contractual administration.
Monitor project costs and identify commercial risks and opportunities.
Work closely with project delivery teams to support successful project outcomes.
Build strong working relationships with clients, consultants and supply chain partners.
Ensure compliance with company commercial procedures and contractual obligations.

    About You

We're keen to speak with motivated Quantity Surveyors looking to develop their careers within a growing and highly successful business.

    You will ideally have:

Experience as a Quantity Surveyor, Assistant Quantity Surveyor or Graduate Quantity Surveyor.
Experience working for a contractor, specialist subcontractor, engineering company or consultancy.
A degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related discipline.
Strong commercial awareness and a willingness to learn.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
A proactive and ambitious approach to career development.

    Desirable Experience

While previous data centre experience is not essential, experience within any of the following sectors would be advantageous:

    Construction
    Infrastructure
    MEP
    Power & Utilities
    Renewable Energy
    Industrial Projects
    Engineering Projects

The company is particularly interested in candidates with the right attitude, ambition and desire to develop within the data centre and power infrastructure sectors.

    Location & Language Requirements

A strong preference exists for candidates who are already based in Germany.
German nationals are encouraged to apply, however candidates from elsewhere in Europe will also be considered.
For non-German nationals, German language skills would be highly advantageous and are likely to strengthen an application considerably.

    Salary & Benefits

€40,000–€80,000 basic salary, depending on experience.
    Comprehensive benefits package.
    Structured training and development programme.
    Mentorship from experienced commercial professionals.
Clear progression opportunities within a rapidly growing business.
Exposure to some of Europe's largest hyperscale data centre developments.
Stable pipeline of projects across Germany and wider Europe.

    Why Apply?

This is an excellent opportunity to join a specialist contractor that has become a major success story within the European data centre sector. With a growing order book, strong financial backing and a reputation for delivering critical power infrastructure on some of the industry's most high-profile projects, the business offers an ideal environment for ambitious Quantity Surveyors looking to develop their careers.

If you're looking to build your experience within the data centre, power infrastructure or renewable energy sectors while working on some of Europe's most exciting projects, we'd love to hear from you.
