How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Senior Quantity Surveyor | Frankfurt, Germany | €90,000–€140,000 + Benefits | Data Centres & Power Infrastructure

Our client is a highly respected specialist contractor operating at the forefront of Europe's rapidly expanding data centre sector. Due to a significant increase in project awards and a strong pipeline of future work, they are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Frankfurt.

Specialising in the delivery of critical power infrastructure and substation packages for hyperscale data centre developments, the company has established itself as a key partner to some of the world's largest technology and data centre operators. With continued growth across Germany and wider Europe, this is an excellent opportunity to join a business experiencing unprecedented success within one of the construction industry's fastest-growing sectors.

    The Opportunity
Based in Frankfurt, you will play a key role in the commercial delivery of major power and infrastructure packages supporting some of Europe's most significant data centre developments.
Working closely with project teams, clients and supply chain partners, you will be responsible for managing commercial performance throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring successful project delivery while identifying opportunities to maximise value and minimise risk.

This role offers exposure to complex, technically challenging projects and provides excellent long-term career prospects within a business with ambitious growth plans across Europe.

    Key Responsibilities
Manage the commercial delivery of major substation and power infrastructure packages.
Prepare and administer subcontract agreements, valuations, variations and final accounts.
Produce accurate cost reporting, forecasting and cashflow analysis.
Support procurement activities and subcontractor negotiations.
Manage contractual matters and change control processes.
Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities.
Work closely with project delivery teams to ensure commercial objectives are achieved.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractors.
Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and company commercial procedures.

    About You
We're keen to speak with experienced Quantity Surveyors who have a strong commercial background delivering major construction, engineering or infrastructure projects.

    You will ideally have:
Previous experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor working for a main contractor, specialist contractor or major engineering business.
    Strong commercial and contractual knowledge.
Experience managing large-scale construction, infrastructure, MEP, energy or industrial projects.
Excellent cost reporting, forecasting and financial management skills.
Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Experience working within fast-paced project environments.

    Highly Desirable Experience
Experience within any of the following sectors would be particularly advantageous:
    Data Centres
    Power Infrastructure
    Substations
    HV/MV Electrical Projects
    MEP Construction
    Renewable Energy
    Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)
    Industrial & Manufacturing Facilities

    Location & Language Requirements
A strong preference exists for candidates who are already based in Germany.
German nationals are encouraged to apply, however candidates from elsewhere in Europe will also be considered.
For non-German nationals, German language skills would be highly advantageous and are likely to strengthen an application considerably.

    Salary & Benefits
€90,000–€140,000 basic salary, dependent on experience.
    Comprehensive benefits package.
Opportunity to join a rapidly growing specialist contractor.
    Long-term career progression opportunities.
Exposure to some of Europe's largest hyperscale data centre developments.
Stable pipeline of projects across Germany and wider Europe.

    Why Apply?
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a specialist contractor that has become a major success story within the European data centre sector. With a growing order book, strong financial backing and a reputation for delivering critical power infrastructure on some of the industry's most high-profile projects, the business offers excellent prospects for ambitious commercial professionals.
If you're an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor looking to further your career within the data centre, power or renewable energy sectors, we'd love to hear from you.
