Due to a long-serving member of the team moving on, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an Operations & Property Manager to take ownership of a supported housing portfolio and lead a small maintenance function.
The Role
This is a varied and autonomous position that combines property operations, maintenance management, compliance oversight and team leadership.
Working closely with colleagues across housing and support services, you will ensure properties remain safe, compliant, cost-effective and maintained to a high standard.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing day-to-day operations across a supported housing portfolio.
* Leading and supporting a small in-house maintenance team.
* Overseeing reactive, planned and cyclical maintenance programmes.
* Managing contractors and suppliers, ensuring quality workmanship and value for money.
* Monitoring budgets, performance and operational KPIs.
* Ensuring compliance across areas including fire safety, Legionella, PAT testing and relevant housing legislation.
* Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, service quality and resident outcomes.
* Building strong relationships with internal teams, external partners and stakeholders.
* Using property management systems and operational data to support decision-making and performance management.
About You
We're looking for an experienced property or housing professional who enjoys working in a practical, hands-on environment.
You might currently be working as a:
* Property Manager
* Property Services Manager
* Housing Operations Manager
* Maintenance Manager
* Asset Manager
* Compliance Manager
* Supported Housing Manager
To be successful, you'll ideally have:
* Experience managing housing, supported housing or residential property operations.
* Experience leading teams and managing contractors.
* Strong knowledge of property compliance and statutory obligations.
* Commercial awareness and the ability to challenge performance and secure best value.
* Experience working with property management systems, ideally MRI or similar.
* Excellent communication, organisational and stakeholder management skills.
* A proactive, self-motivated approach and a willingness to roll your sleeves up when needed.
