How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Year 1 SEN Teaching Assistant | Clapham Common, Lambeth A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Clapham Common, Lambeth is seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support a Year 1 pupil with Autism on a 1:1 basis from September 2026.
    This is an excellent opportunity for a compassionate and proactive Teaching Assistant who has previous experience supporting children with Autism (ASD) and a sound understanding of Year 1 Phonics.
    The Role As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

    Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a Year 1 pupil with Autism.
    Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO and external professionals to deliver tailored support.
    Help the pupil engage positively with learning and classroom activities.
    Support the child's communication, social development and emotional wellbeing.
    Assist with the delivery of Year 1 Phonics interventions and literacy activities.
    Foster a positive, nurturing and inclusive learning environment.The Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who has:

    Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or SEN Teaching Assistant within a primary school.
    Experience supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
    Knowledge and understanding of SEN strategies and interventions.
    Experience supporting Year 1 Phonics and early literacy development.
    Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
