How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Safetynet Scotland Limited Group is a well-established leader in Health, Safety, and Quality Management, headquartered in Aberdeen. With a strong presence across Scotland, we specialise in supporting small and medium-sized businesses with practical solutions and hands on support to manage their Health & Safety obligations—giving our clients confidence that their employees, business and customers are protected and they are complaint with their legal responsibilities.

Now part of the wider JMG Group—one of the UK’s top 30 insurance brokers—we are continuing to grow rapidly and strengthen our market position.
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Health & Safety Consultant / Fire Risk Advisor to join our team, delivering expert advice and support to our valued clients.

    Key Responsibilities:

Manage your own portfolio of clients and schedule support visits in line with contractual requirements
Conduct Health & Safety audits and Fire Risk Assessments, producing clear and practical action plans
Support clients in implementing recommended actions and improvements
Maintain and update client records via our bespoke online Health & Safety Management System
Develop and review policies, processes, and procedures tailored to client needs
Collaborate with colleagues to enhance service delivery, share industry knowledge, and improve internal resources
Stay up to date with current UK Health & Safety legislation and best practices

    About You:

NEBOSH General Certificate, Diploma, Fire Certificate, or equivalent (minimum requirement)
Proven experience in a Health & Safety advisory role and in completion of Fire Risk Assessments in a client-facing role.
Member of professional body, IOSH, IFSM etc.
Professional, friendly and support approach to implementation of H&S requirements with clear understanding of legislation and best practice.
Strong communication and organisational skills with the ability to influence leaders and workers in a variety of setting and industries.
Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload
Knowledge of, and experience in implementing, Management Systems, primarily H&S but knowledge in relation to Quality and Environmental management is a benefit.
Full UK driving licence (essential due to travel requirements throughout Scotland)
