How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    SEND Tutor - Stockton-on-Tees

    Spencer Clarke Tutors are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEND Tutor to support learners in Stockton-on-Tees on a part-time basis.
    This is a rewarding opportunity to provide personalised 1:1 educational support to learners who may be unable to access mainstream education or require additional support with their learning.

    The Role

    As a SEND Tutor, you will provide tailored tuition either in the learner's home or in a suitable public/community setting, depending on the learner's needs.
    You will:

    Deliver engaging and personalised 1:1 tuition.
    Adapt lessons to meet individual SEND needs.
    Support learners to re-engage with education and build confidence.
    Help learners develop academically, socially and emotionally.
    Build positive and trusting relationships with learners and their families.
    Monitor progress and provide appropriate feedback.
    Create a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment.

    The Ideal Candidate

    We are looking for a tutor who:

    Has experience supporting children or young people with SEND.
    Has a teaching, tutoring or relevant educational background.
    Can adapt their teaching style to individual learning needs.
    Is patient, nurturing, reliable and resilient.
    Has excellent communication skills.
    Is passionate about helping learners reach their potential.
    Experience supporting learners with autism, ADHD, SEMH, dyslexia, anxiety, behavioural needs or other additional educational needs would be beneficial.
