The Role
As a Paint Sprayer / Prepper, you'll be responsible for preparing vehicles for paint and completing high-quality refinishing work to the required standards.
Your responsibilities will include:
·Preparing vehicles and panels ready for painting
·Sanding, filling, masking and priming surfaces
·Preparing damaged areas to achieve a smooth, high-quality finish
·Mixing and colour-matching paint accurately
·Applying primers, basecoats and clearcoats
·Carrying out paint repairs and refinishing work
·Inspecting completed work to ensure a high-quality finish
·Identifying and correcting any paint defects
·Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment
·Following correct repair methods and health and safety procedures
About You
We're looking for an experienced Paint Sprayer / Prepper who can hit the ground running and deliver excellent workmanship.
You will ideally have:
·Previous experience as a Paint Sprayer, Vehicle Paint Sprayer, Paint Technician, Prepper or Vehicle Refinisher
·Experience preparing vehicles for paint from start to finish
·Strong knowledge of modern paint systems and refinishing techniques
·Experience with water-based paints
·Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality
·The ability to work independently and as part of a team
·A professional attitude and strong work ethic
·Relevant qualifications such as City & Guilds, NVQ, ATA or equivalent are desirable
