Responsibilities of Vehicle Technician / Mechanic
As a Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out servicing, maintenance, diagnostics and repairs across a range of modern vehicles, including hybrid and electric vehicles.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Carrying out routine servicing and mechanical repairs
* Diagnosing and repairing vehicle faults
* Working with electrical and electronic vehicle systems
* Carrying out diagnostics using manufacturer-approved equipment
* Working safely on hybrid and electric vehicles
* Inspecting vehicles and identifying additional repair requirements
* Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard
* Following health & safety and manufacturer procedures
* Maintaining a clean, safe and organised workshop
Requirements of Vehicle Technician / Mechanic
We are looking for someone who has:
* Level 3 NVQ / City & Guilds in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
* Previous experience working as a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic
* Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
* Hybrid and electric vehicle experience/qualification
* Good understanding of modern vehicle electrical systems
* A full UK driving licence
* Excellent attention to detail and a professional approach
* The ability to work independently and as part of a team
