How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Salary circa £55,000 | Bonus Scheme | Flexible Working Hours | Midday Finish Fridays | Bonus

    A Quality Engineer opportunity has arisen within a well-established precision manufacturing business supplying complex components into highly regulated engineering sectors. Working closely with customers and manufacturing teams, you'll manage customer complaints and quality escapes, support New Product Introduction (NPI), maintain quality standards and coach team members to improve quality performance.

    Quality Engineer responsibilities include -

    Managing customer complaints and quality escapes from containment through to resolution.
    Coaching and mentoring team members to improve quality standards.
    Maintaining the QMS in line with customer and industry requirements.
    Supporting NPI through PFMEAs, control plans, PPAPs and FAIRs.
    Leading internal audits and supporting customer and regulatory audits.
    Reducing non-conformance through problem-solving and continuous improvement.Quality Engineer desirable skills and experience -

    Previous Quality Engineer, Senior Quality Engineer or similar experience.
    Experience within aerospace, automotive or precision manufacturing.
    Strong customer complaint and quality escape management experience.
    Knowledge of AS9100, NADCAP, AS9102 or IATF 16949 requirements.
    Familiarity with FAIRs, PFMEAs, control plans and PPAPs.
    Confident coaching others and interpreting engineering drawings.Quality Engineer benefits include -
