How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Senior Quality Inspector x 4

    Our client, a renowned aerospace manufacturer based in Kidderminster, is expanding its Quality team and is looking to recruit 4 Senior Quality Inspectors. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a cutting-edge organisation working on highly engineered aerospace products where quality, precision, and innovation are at the heart of everything they do.

    Senior Quality Inspector Responsibilities

    Senior Quality Inspector will inspect parts and assemblies against engineering drawings, specifications, and process requirements.
    Conduct in-process and final inspections across multiple projects.
    Generate, collate, and maintain First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) using Visual FAIR.
    Raise and support the investigation of non-conformances and quality issues.
    Operate, program, and troubleshoot CMM equipment as required.
    Carry out manual inspections using precision measuring equipment including micrometres, height gauges, and shadowgraphs.
    Approve rework and verify compliance to quality standards.
    Conduct internal, supplier, and process audits.
    Support continuous improvement activities and root cause investigations.
    Provide mentoring and technical support to inspectors and production teams.

    Senior Quality Inspector Requirements

    Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent qualification.
    Senior Quality Inspector will have experience within aerospace/manufacturing/ engineering environment.
    Experience generating and managing FAIRs.
    Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
    Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
    Experience using precision measuring equipment.
    Excellent communication and organisational skills.Desirable

    CMM operation and programming experience.
    Experience using Visual FAIR software.
    Knowledge of root cause analysis tools such as 8D and 5 Whys.
    Internal Auditor AS9100/EN9100 training.
    Aerospace, defence, or highly regulated manufacturing experienceDuration: 6 Months +

    Rate: £35 an hour (Inside IR35)
