Permanent | Birmingham | £60,000 - £70,000 + Package

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to join an established Midlands-based company delivering Mechanical and Electrical design, installation and maintenance services across projects throughout the UK.

The successful Mechanical Project Manager will be responsible for managing multiple mechanical projects up to £2M, working closely with clients, subcontractors, site teams and internal departments from pre-contract through to completion.

The Mechanical Project Manager will:

Attend client and internal meetings from pre-contract, progress, commissioning through to post-contract.

*

Manage multiple Mechanical Projects up to £2M.

*

Assist with mechanical design and lead the procurement process.

*

Assist with site surveys and oversee mechanical installations.

*

Manage the commissioning process through to project completion.

*

Oversee Health & Safety across projects.

*

Manage site engineering staff, supervisors and subcontractors.

*

Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors and internal teams.

*

Have a good understanding of main contract and subcontract documentation.

*

Assist with project cost control and finalising project accounts.

*

Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.

Requirements:

*

Previous experience working within the construction or building services industry as a Mechanical Project Manager, Mechanical Project Engineer, Mechanical Contracts Manager, Mechanical Contract Manager, Mechanical Contract Engineer

*

Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.

*

Experience managing projects up to £2M.

*

Ideally qualified to ONC / HNC / HND in Building Services or a related discipline.

*

Good understanding of construction contracts, subcontract documents and project delivery.

*

Strong client, subcontractor and site management skills.

*

Must be willing to undergo security clearance.

*

MOD / MOJ experience would be advantageous.
