About the Role
KAP Technical Services is seeking experienced Vehicle Technicians to join a dedicated team delivering a critical fleet maintenance programme at our client’s Ashchurch site.
Working as part of an autonomous, outcomes-focused team, you will be responsible for maintaining the safety, operational readiness and regulatory compliance of stored and sustainment fleet vehicles.
This is an excellent opportunity for qualified technicians with military, commercial or fleet maintenance experience to join a professional, safety-focused environment and contribute to a significant fleet maintenance programme.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out diagnostic inspections, servicing, maintenance and repairs across designated vehicle platforms.
* Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical faults to ensure vehicles meet required safety and operational standards.
* Complete follow-on maintenance and rectification work to prepare vehicles for Mandatory Equipment Inspections.
* Carry out fleet upgrades, modifications and improvement programmes to meet required operational standards.
* Identify and rectify defects and complete any rework arising from examinations and inspections.
* Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure all work is completed in accordance with established quality and technical procedures
Candidate Requirements
Essential
* Proven experience working as a Vehicle Technician or equivalent role.
* Level 3 NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
* Strong diagnostic, fault-finding and mechanical repair skills.
* Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team.
* A professional approach with a strong focus on quality, safety and compliance.
* Willingness to undergo BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) clearance. Clearance will be fully sponsored and managed by our client.
* Ability to provide your own standard coveralls and safety footwear.
Desirable
* Previous experience working on military, commercial or fleet vehicles.
* Experience using fleet asset tracking, maintenance or electronic vehicle management systems.
* Experience working within structured inspection, compliance, fleet sustainment or defence environments.
