How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    SEN Support Worker (*Female), Strood, Rochester, Kent, ME3. £15.50 gross per hour weekdays, £17.50 gross per hour weekends and waking nights. £31.00 gross per hour Bank Holidays.     Key Information
    * Job Title: SEN Support Worker
    * Pay: £15.50 gross per hour weekdays, £17.50 gross per hour weekends and waking nights. £31.00 gross per hour Bank Holidays
    * Location: Strood, Rochester, Kent, ME3
    * Hours and Days of Work: 24 hours weekly; two 12-hour shifts (7.30 AM to 7.30 PM), Monday to Sunday, including one weekend day. Rota six weeks ahead.
    * Essential Experience:Care, childcare, or support worker experience; this can be personal or professional. Genuine interest in supporting a client with additional needs, willingness to learn, good team player and sense of humour. Excellent verbal communication skills and a high level of spoken English as the role requires clear and effective communication with the family and wider support team. This role is open to *female applicants only.
    * Desirable: Enhanced Adult DBS on the Update Service, previous care experience, and previous experience of supporting a client living in their family home.
    * Driver Required: Yes – Automatic adapted car for use whilst on duty
    * Family Pets: 1 dog
    * Facilities: Fully adapted family home
    * Start Date: ASAP – Maternity cover for 12 months

    Josh, 25, is funny, sociable and full of personality. He enjoys music, swimming, his sensory room, cinema trips and getting out into the community. He has a physical and learning disability, is a full-time wheelchair user and has complex medical needs.
    This role would suit a warm, energetic female who enjoys building meaningful relationships, promoting independence and getting involved in activities. You will work as part of an experienced 2:1 team, with full training provided so ideal for someone with limited Support Worker experience. Weekend flexibility is essential.
    *Where a specific gender is essential to meet the client's needs, this is a genuine occupational requirement under Schedule 9, Paragraph 1 of the Equality Act 2010.
