How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Machine Operative
    Location: Knowsley L34
    Pay Rate: Starting £12.71ph (increases after training & again after 12 weeks)
    Shifts: 07:00-19:00 / 19:00-07:00
    Days: 4-on-4-off ( 2 days, 2 nights)

    We are currently recruiting Machine Operatives to join our busy production team. This is a hands‑on role within a fast‑paced production line environment, supporting the safe and efficient running of automated and semi‑automated machinery. Full training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for reliable individuals looking to develop skills in manufacturing.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Operating production line machinery safely and efficiently

    * Loading and unloading materials and components

    * Monitoring machine performance and reporting faults or issues

    * Carrying out basic quality checks to ensure product standards are met

    * Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the production area

    * Following all health & safety and operating procedures

    * Supporting general production and factory duties as required

    Requirements

    * Previous machine operative experience in a production or manufacturing environment is essential

    * Ability to work in a fast‑paced, target‑driven environment

    * Good attention to detail and commitment to quality

    * Physically capable of manual tasks

    * Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team

    * Willingness to learn and follow instructions
