How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Mobile Forklift Engineer

    Location: Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire
    Salary: £31,000-£38,000+ (DOE) + Overtime (1.33x) + On-Call Allowance
    Hours: Monday - Friday, 08:00 - 16:30
    Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an experienced Mobile Forklift Engineer to join their expanding team.

    The Role

    As a Mobile Forklift Engineer, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing a variety of forklift trucks and material handling equipment at customer sites throughout the local area.

    Key responsibilities include:

    Diagnosing faults, servicing, and repairing forklift trucks and associated equipment
    Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
    Attending breakdowns and providing effective fault-finding solutions
    Completing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic repairs
    Conducting safety inspections and ensuring equipment remains compliant
    Accurately completing service reports and documentation
    Delivering excellent customer service while representing the company professionally
    Participating in the paid on-call rota as required

    What We're Looking For

    Experience working within the forklift, plant, agricultural, HGV, automotive, or material handling industries (essential)
    Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical fault-finding skills
    Experience servicing and repairing mobile equipment or machinery
    Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
    Full UK Driving Licence (essential)
    NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent engineering qualification (advantageous)
    Strong communication and customer service skills
