How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Early Years Class Teacher – September Start
    Location: North London – NW3 5UL

    Salary: Competitive, dependent on qualifications and experience
    Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm
    Start Date: September 2026
    Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term

    We are looking for a qualified and passionate Early Years Class Teacher to join a well-established and supportive nursery setting in North London.
    This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to join an experienced team and provide engaging, creative and ambitious learning opportunities within a warm, nurturing and inclusive environment.

    About the Role as an Early Years Class Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a stimulating learning environment where children can develop confidently at their own pace.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    Planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate lessons and activities.
    Supporting children's social, emotional and educational development through play.
    Creating a structured classroom environment that encourages independence and learning.
    Using indoor and outdoor learning spaces effectively.
    Monitoring and assessing children's progress and maintaining accurate learning records.
    Completing observations, reports and learning journals.
    Leading and supporting classroom staff and promoting effective teamwork.
    Establishing positive relationships with children, parents, colleagues and external professionals.
    Promoting positive behaviour and acting as a strong role model.
    Supporting children in preparation for the 4+ assessment process.
    Working collaboratively with other teaching and extracurricular staff.
    Maintaining high standards of safeguarding, health and safety and professional conduct.
    Attending staff training, INSET days and parent meetings where required. About You We are looking for someone who:

    Is committed to safeguarding, equality and inclusion. Essential Requirements Candidates must have:

    QTS, Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS), or a relevant full and recognised Level 5 qualification or above.
    Previous experience working within an Early Years setting.
    Good knowledge and understanding of the EYFS Statutory Framework.
    Experience with observation, planning and assessment.
    A strong understanding of safeguarding and children's welfare.
    The ability to create engaging learning opportunities through play.
    An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or be willing to complete a new Enhanced DBS.
