About the Role:
As an HGV Refuse Collection Driver, you will play a vital role in ensuring efficient waste collection services. Your responsibilities will include:
Operating a Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic regulations and safety standards.
Collecting refuse and recycling materials from residential and commercial properties, ensuring all routes are completed promptly.
Working collaboratively with a dedicated team to maintain high service standards and customer satisfaction.
Conducting routine checks and maintenance on the vehicle to ensure it is in safe working order.
Engaging positively with residents and addressing any queries or concerns in a professional manner.
Who is the Ideal Candidate?
Our client is looking for individuals who are:
Qualified: Hold a valid HGV Class 2 licence (C) and a CPC qualification.
Experienced: Have previous experience in refuse collection or similar driving roles, with a solid understanding of road safety and vehicle operation.
Reliable: Demonstrate punctuality and a strong work ethic, with the ability to work in varying weather conditions.
Team-Oriented: Possess excellent communication skills and a collaborative spirit, working effectively as part of a team.
Community-Minded: Have a genuine interest in contributing to the local community and promoting environmentally friendly practises.
