How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Personal Assistant to Managing Director

    £42,000 – £47,000 + Package | West Midlands

    The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced, highly organised and proactive Personal Assistant to provide first-class support to the Managing Director of a well-established construction business with a turnover of approximately £75m.

This is a key position within the business, requiring someone who is confident operating at senior level, highly professional and able to manage a varied and fast-paced workload with discretion and sound judgement.

The successful candidate will become a trusted member of the senior management team, providing day-to-day support to the Managing Director and helping ensure the smooth running of their professional commitments.

    The Role

    Your responsibilities will include:

    * Managing a complex and demanding diary, including meetings, appointments and travel

    * Coordinating meetings with clients, contractors, consultants and senior stakeholders

    * Preparing agendas, papers, presentations and meeting documentation

    * Taking accurate minutes and following up on actions where required

    * Managing correspondence, emails and telephone calls on behalf of the Managing Director

    * Organising business travel and accommodation

    * Preparing reports, documents and presentations to a high standard

    * Handling confidential and commercially sensitive information with complete discretion

    * Coordinating senior management meetings and company events

    * Assisting with client and stakeholder communications

    * Supporting the Managing Director with projects and ad-hoc business requirements

    * Liaising with internal departments to ensure actions and deadlines are followed through

    * Acting as a professional ambassador for the Managing Director and the wider business

    About You

We are looking for someone who is experienced, polished, highly organised and commercially aware.

    You will ideally have:

    * Proven experience as a PA, Executive PA or EA supporting a senior executive

    * Excellent organisational and time-management skills

    * Strong written and verbal communication skills

    * Exceptional attention to detail

    * The ability to prioritise and manage competing demands

    * A high level of confidentiality and discretion

    * Confidence dealing with senior colleagues, clients and external stakeholders

    * Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint

    * The ability to work independently and use initiative rather than simply waiting for instruction

    * A calm, professional and personable approach

    * Previous experience within construction, property, engineering or another professional environment would be advantageous

    What We're Looking For

This role would suit someone who takes genuine pride in being one step ahead.

You will be someone who anticipates what is needed, keeps things moving and can be relied upon to deal with matters efficiently and professionally. You will need the confidence to challenge, prioritise and make sensible decisions when required.

In return, you will have the opportunity to join a successful and growing construction business and work closely with its senior leadership team.

    Salary & Package

£42,000 – £47,000 basic salary + package, depending on experience.

The successful candidate will also receive a competitive benefits package and the opportunity to develop their career within a well-established £60m-turnover construction business.

    Location: West Midlands
    Salary: £42,000 – £47,000 + Package
    Job Type: Full-time
    Reporting to: Managing Director

If you are an experienced PA/EA looking for a high-profile role where you can genuinely add value and become a trusted part of the senior leadership team, we would be keen to hear from you
