How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    The primary responsibilities of the Supply Chain Specialist role are to manage the day to day and ongoing performance of Chick-fil–A’s UK distributors and manufacturing partners, ensuring distributors adhere to key contractual performance metrics and maintain optimum on-time, in-full deliveries and product availability to Chick-fil-A restaurants, whilst also liaising with our partners to ensure they have up to date stock forecasts. The main point of contact for escalation support for operators & licensee’s regarding day to day queries and availability issues, ensuring operators and teams receive consistent supply of high-quality ingredients, packaging and other essential items, as well as supporting the wider UK Supply Chain team as it supports Chick-fil-A’s expansion into the UK.


    The role will focus on distribution planning and restaurant support as well as hands on implementation, utilising exceptional communication skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders. The role is accountable for ensuring trusted supply by focusing on stewardship, strategic initiatives, supply continuity and forward planning. As well as personel and professional development.

    Job Responsibilities & Activities


    • Support the execution of business strategies related to the sourcing and supply chain for Chick-fil-A UK related products and services.
    • Facilitate the continuous end-to-end flow of goods from the manufacturer / supplier to distribution centers and restaurants - providing high velocity inventory, reduced disposition costs and enhanced revenues by: ensuring timely & smooth cross border flows.
    • Run weekly service and planning calls with distribution partners to monitor stock levels, forecasts and supplier inbound and distributor outbound performance metrics.
    • Share product forecasts with key partners, ensuring manufacturing time is allocated to our products and they have the necessary ingredients for continuous supply.
    • Conduct key distribution facility site visits, ensuring sites are fit for purpose.
    • Develop a key understanding of distribution partner operations to support efficiency and performance through ongoing improvements.
    • Support new store openings by initiating new Operator account setup with distributors, facilitiating initial distributor site assessments and setup of comissioning and initial training orders, supporting on new store grand opening hyper care to ensure succesful new store launches.
    • Support on-boarding of new suppliers and/or facilities into Chick-fil-A’s supply chain.
    • Maintain UK Supply Chain ‘Welcome Packs’ ensuring these documents remain up to date and relevant to support Operators and restaurant team members.
    • Develop and grow partnerships with Operators and their teams in order to be the point of escalation for supply chain queries, disruption and day to day support.
    • Partner with International Supply Chain to support ongoing management import of US sourced items, ensuring consistent flow and full availability for items into UK distributors.
    • Facilitate the shipping of all product samples needed to support R&D, temporary approvals, and COGS reduction strategies.
    • Determine areas for personal and professional growth within three key areas: achieving performance expectations, growing current role, preparing for the future.
    • Build strong, collaborative working relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders while producing results.
    • Focus on the details, while working with a sense of urgency.


    Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance or similar field of study, or equivalent experience.
    • 3+ years of experience in food service supply chain role.
    • Proven track record in managing high volume, multi-location supply chains with time sensitive deliveries.


    Preferred Qualifications

    • Charted Institute of Procurement & Supply Level 4 Diploma
