How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Trainee Air Conditioning Engineer
    Southampton

    £30,000 - £35,900 (OTE £40,000) + Full Training + Progression + Overtime + 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays + Benefits

This Trainee Air Conditioning Engineer position will give you the support and technical development needed to become confident in the role and perform to the best of your ability.

    This Trainee Air Conditioning Engineer position is a static workshop based opportunity that offers you the chance to join a company at an exciting stage of expansion, with a brand-new depot opening and significant investment being made into the company's operations.

    As a Trainee Air Conditioning Engineer, you will work alongside experienced engineers who will train you on the equipment, testing procedures and wider electrical and mechanical skills required to develop your career.

    Your Role As a Trainee Air Conditioning Engineer Will Include:

    Receiving full training on temperature-control equipment, testing procedures and technical processes
    Functionally testing equipment before it leaves the depot and completing relevant documentation
    Inspecting equipment carefully to identify faults, damage or anything that could cause problems once dispatched
    Gradually taking greater responsibility for the test area as your technical knowledge and confidence developAs A Trainee Air Conditioning Engineer You Will Need:

    A completed F-Gas qualification
    Good attention to detail and the ability to work reliably in a busy environment
    A long-term mindset with an interest in progressing technically and eventually moving into management
