How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    About the Role

    Complete Classroom Services is seeking experienced School Administrators and Receptionist Assistants to join friendly and busy school offices across Havering and the surrounding East London areas, starting in September 2026.

    We are looking for professional, organised and reliable candidates who have previous experience working within a school environment. School experience is mandatory for this role.

    This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative and front-of-house skills who is confident working in a busy educational setting and understands the importance of safeguarding, confidentiality and professional communication.

    Your Responsibilities Will Include

    * Acting as the first point of contact for pupils, parents, visitors and staff, providing a welcoming and professional reception service.

    * Managing incoming phone calls, emails and general enquiries efficiently.

    * Maintaining and updating pupil and school records accurately.

    * Using school management information systems such as SIMS, Arbor or Bromcom where required.

    * Supporting attendance administration and pupil data tracking in line with school procedures and safeguarding requirements.

    * Assisting with school communications, including letters, newsletters and notices.

    * Managing filing systems, photocopying, scanning and general administrative duties.

    * Providing administrative support to the Senior Leadership Team, teachers and other school staff.

    * Assisting with meetings, school events, trips and diary management.

    * Handling confidential information in accordance with GDPR, safeguarding and school policies.

    * Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the school office.

    The Ideal Candidate Will Have

    * Previous experience working in a school environment – mandatory.

    * Previous experience in school administration, reception or a busy office environment.

    * Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

    * Experience using school MIS systems such as SIMS, Arbor or Bromcom is desirable.

    * Excellent communication, organisation and multitasking skills.

    * A professional, approachable and friendly manner.

    * The ability to work independently while also being an effective team member.

    * A good understanding of confidentiality and safeguarding within an educational setting.

    * An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for and pay for an Enhanced DBS.
