How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Precision Assembly Operative – Training Provided
    £13.38 per hour | Monday-Friday | 07:30-16:00 | Temp to Perm | Mansfield & Annesley
    Are you someone who takes pride in doing things properly?
    We're recruiting Precision Assembly Operatives to join a specialist manufacturing operation in Mansfield & Annesley, producing small, high-specification electrical components used in demanding industries including aerospace and defence.
    This isn't heavy factory work. You'll be working with small, intricate components, carrying out fine assembly and inspection work where patience, concentration and attention to detail really matter.
    Full training is provided, so previous experience in this type of manufacturing isn't essential. We're much more interested in finding people with the right attitude, commitment and eye for detail who want to learn a specialist skill.
    Previous experience in manufacturing, assembly, electronics, soldering, jewellery, model making, sewing, crafting or other precision/fine-detail work would be advantageous, but is not essential.
    Location & Future Move
    You'll be working in a modern, clean and highly organised manufacturing environment where quality and attention to detail are taken seriously.
    The role will initially be based at the company's Mansfield facility but will move to Annesley after approximately 6 months.
    Own transport is essential due to the two locations.
    Why Apply?
    * £13.38 per hour
    * Bonus after successful 6 month probabtion
    * Monday-Friday, 07:30-16:00
    * 40 hours per week
    * Compressed working hours may be available between 06:00-18:00
    * Full training provided
    * Temp to Perm opportunity
    * Modern, clean manufacturing environment
    * Opportunity to develop specialist assembly and inspection skills
    * Long-term career opportunities within a global manufacturing business
    Precision Assembly Operative – The Role
    As a Precision Assembly Operative, you'll be trained to manufacture and inspect small, high-quality electrical components and connector assemblies.
    The work involves fine, detailed assembly, including working with very small components and using specialist magnification equipment to ensure everything is assembled correctly.
    You'll be responsible for:
    * Carrying out precision assembly of small electrical components and connector assemblies.
    * Following detailed manufacturing instructions and engineering drawings.
    * Using small hand tools and specialist equipment, including fine soldering equipment.
    * Working under magnification to assemble and inspect intricate components.
    * Carrying out quality checks throughout the manufacturing process.
    * Identifying any defects or issues and reporting them appropriately.
    * Maintaining accurate production and quality records.
    * Working to strict quality and safety standards.
    * Developing your skills through structured training and on-the-job development.
    * Supporting the wider production team to meet customer and production requirements.
    What We're Looking For
    We're not expecting you to already be a Precision Assembly Operative.
    Full training is provided, so previous experience isn't essential. What we're looking for is someone who:

    * Is patient and comfortable carrying out repetitive fine, detailed work.
    * Has good hand-to-eye coordination and enjoys practical tasks.
