How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Site Engineer - Civils & Groundworks

    Salary: Up to £55,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
    Additional: Company vehicle provided
    Location: Leicester & surrounding regional projects
    Type: Full-time | Permanent

    Linsco are delighted to be working alongside our client, a well-established civil engineering and groundworks contractor based in Leicester, who are looking to appoint an experienced Site Engineer to join their growing team.

    Working across a range of commercial and residential civils and groundworks projects, this is an excellent opportunity for a Site Engineer looking for a varied role with responsibility across multiple projects.

    The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the delivery of projects on site, working closely with Site Managers, Project Managers and subcontractors to ensure works are completed accurately, safely and in line with programme and specification.

    Key Responsibilities

    Setting out and surveying works accurately in accordance with project drawings and specifications.
    Carrying out site measurements, levels and dimensional checks.
    Providing technical support to Site Managers and project teams throughout construction.
    Interpreting engineering drawings, specifications and construction information.
    Monitoring works to ensure they are completed in accordance with design, quality and programme requirements.
    Assisting with the setting out and delivery of groundworks, drainage, roads, foundations and associated civils works.
    Liaising with subcontractors, engineers, consultants and site management to resolve technical issues.
    Maintaining accurate site records, quality documentation and as-built information.
    Identifying discrepancies between drawings and site conditions and assisting with resolving technical queries.
    Supporting the management of quality, health & safety and environmental requirements on site.
    Working across a variety of commercial and residential projects as required.Candidate Requirements

    Previous experience working as a Site Engineer within civil engineering or groundworks.
    Strong setting-out and surveying experience.
    Experience across groundworks, drainage, roads, foundations or infrastructure would be highly advantageous.
    Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
    Strong technical understanding of construction and civil engineering processes.
    Good communication skills with the ability to work effectively with site teams, subcontractors and project stakeholders.
    Methodical and detail-focused approach to site engineering.
    Ability to work across multiple projects and adapt to different site environments.
    Relevant engineering qualification or equivalent experience.
    CSCS qualification/card.
    A full UK driving licence is essential.What's on Offer
