Salary: up to £43,000 per annum depending on qualifications and experience | Full time, 37 hours per week.

As a Lecturer in Motorsport / Motor Vehicle / Engineering, you will play an important role in preparing students for careers within the automotive and motorsport industries. You will deliver vocational programmes across BTEC and City & Guilds, combining your technical expertise with engaging teaching to help learners build practical capability, industry knowledge and confidence. Responsibilities include:
Delivering engaging theory and practical-based learning across Motor Vehicle and Motorsport programmes
Helping learners develop the technical and employability skills expected by today's automotive industry
Providing constructive assessment and feedback, monitoring achievement and supporting learners who need additional guidance
Acting as a personal tutor and helping learners plan their progression into employment, apprenticeships or further study
Working closely with employers and colleagues to ensure learning remains relevant to industry
Supporting curriculum development, quality processes, student recruitment and wider college activities
You will ideally bring:
A Degree, HND or equivalent vocational/professional qualification
City & Guilds or IMI Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Procedures
Professional experience within the Motor Vehicle/Motorsport Industry
Knowledge of modern electric and hybrid vehicle technology.
Strong teaching and learner engagement skills, ideally within further education or vocational training
A teaching qualification, or the willingness to work towards one
