How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Franchise Business Development Manager
    Covering East of England
    £58 - £65k depending on experience
    We are looking for a commercially driven Franchise Development Manager to support the growth, profitability and performance of our client’s franchise network.
    You will work closely with Franchise Business Owners as a trusted advisor, providing commercial guidance, coaching and operational support to help them achieve their goals. You will use data and business insight to identify opportunities, improve performance and drive sustainable growth.
    Key Responsibilities
    * Build strong relationships with Franchise Business Owners
    * Analyse KPIs, P&Ls and performance data to identify growth and profitability opportunities
    * Develop and support business plans and performance improvement strategies
    * Coach and challenge Franchisees to improve sales, efficiency and customer service
    * Identify underperformance and support effective turnaround plans
    * Support new Franchisees through onboarding, training and launch
    * Work closely with Marketing, Finance and Operations on strategic initiatives
    * Share best practice and drive continuous improvement across the network
    * Ensure Franchisees operate in line with the franchise model and brand standards
    About You
    * Proven experience in Business Development, Sales or Commercial Leadership
    * Strong commercial and P&L understanding
    * Confident analysing data and turning insight into action
    * Excellent relationship-building, coaching and influencing skills
    * Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills
    * Experience working across multiple business functions
    * Confident using CRM systems, Excel, Teams and PowerPoint
    * Full UK driving licence
    Franchise experience is desirable, as is experience in the drainage or related service industry but not essential.
