How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Pay Scale: £90.00 - £105.00 per day

    Are you a patient, compassionate and enthusiastic Autism Support professional looking to make a real difference to the lives of children and young people?

    A supportive and inclusive Specialist School in Thatcham is seeking a dedicated Autism Support professional to join their team as soon as possible. This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with pupils with autism, helping them access learning, develop communication skills and build confidence.

    As part of the Autism Support team, your responsibilities will include:

    Providing dedicated 1:1 and small group support to pupils with ASD.
    Supporting communication, interaction and social development.
    Helping pupils manage sensory needs and emotional regulation.
    Implementing structured routines and individualised strategies.
    Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement.
    Supporting pupils to access lessons and wider school activities.
    Building trusting and positive relationships with pupils.
    Working closely with teachers and other support professionals.This Autism Support role would suit someone with experience in education, childcare, care, youth work or support work. Previous experience working with autistic children or young people is highly desirable, although a genuine passion for supporting pupils with additional needs is equally important.
