How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Commercial Manager
    10/4 Rotation in Europe

    We're looking for an experience Commercial Manager to support the delivery of hyperscale data centres across Europe. 

    This is a senior site-based opportunity for a commercially strong professional who is comfortable operating in a fast-paced project environment, working closely with project management, clients, subcontractors and internal stakeholders.

    The Role

    As Commercial Manager, you will take ownership of the commercial function on the project, ensuring strong cost control, contract management and commercial governance throughout the project lifecycle.

    Key responsibilities will include:

    Leading all commercial and contractual activities on the project
    Managing project budgets, forecasts, cash flow and cost reporting
    Monitoring project performance and identifying commercial risks and opportunities
    Managing variations, change orders, claims and contract negotiations
    Overseeing subcontractor and supplier commercial management
    Reviewing contracts and ensuring contractual obligations are understood and maintained
    Supporting the Project Manager and senior leadership with commercial decision-making
    Preparing accurate monthly commercial reports and forecasts
    Managing final accounts and supporting successful project close-out
    Maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and key project stakeholdersRequirements

    To be considered, you will need:

    Minimum 10 years’ experience in commercial management, quantity surveying or a similar senior commercial role
    A relevant degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Construction Management, Engineering or a related discipline
    Strong contract and commercial management experience on large-scale projects
    Demonstrable experience managing variations, claims, subcontractors and project cost control
    Strong understanding of project forecasting, reporting and commercial risk
    Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills
    Ability to work autonomously and make commercially sound decisions in a site-based environment
    Previous experience working on major industrial, engineering or construction projects would be highly advantageousRotation The position operates on a 10/4 rotation – 10 days working followed by 4 days off, making it an excellent opportunity for someone comfortable working within a rotational project environment.
