How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Contract Manager - Social Housing

    Location: Yeovil, Somerset
    Salary: Up to £55,000 per annum
    Contract: Permanent
    Sector: Social Housing / Property Services

    Are you an experienced Contract Manager looking for your next permanent opportunity within social housing?

    We're working with a well-established housing organisation that is looking to appoint an experienced Contract Manager to oversee the successful delivery of a range of property and housing-related contracts across their portfolio.

    This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a commercially focused role while making a genuine difference to the quality of homes and services provided to residents.

    The Role

    As Contract Manager, you will take ownership of a portfolio of contracts, ensuring they are delivered safely, efficiently, compliantly and to a high standard.

    You'll work closely with contractors, internal teams and key stakeholders, managing performance, costs, quality and contractual obligations from mobilisation through to completion.

    Key responsibilities will include:

    Managing and monitoring a portfolio of housing/property contracts.
    Building strong working relationships with contractors, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
    Monitoring contractor performance against agreed KPIs, SLAs and contractual requirements.
    Managing budgets, expenditure and commercial performance.
    Supporting procurement, contract mobilisation and contract renewals.
    Identifying and managing contractual risks, variations and performance issues.
    Ensuring works and services are delivered in line with relevant legislation, policies and health & safety requirements.
    Producing regular performance and management reports.
    Supporting continuous improvement across contract management and property services.
    Ensuring a strong focus on customer and resident satisfaction.

    About You

    We're looking for an experienced Contract Manager with a strong background in social housing, housing maintenance, property services or a closely related environment.

    You'll ideally have:

    Proven experience managing contracts within social housing, property or a similar environment.
    Strong commercial and financial management skills.
    Experience managing contractor performance and delivering against KPIs.
    Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
    A good understanding of contract management, procurement and compliance.
    Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
    A proactive approach to problem-solving and performance improvement.
    The confidence to challenge contractors and stakeholders when required.A relevant professional qualification or membership, such as CIPS, RICS, CIOB or equivalent, would be advantageous but is not essential.
