The Role
As a Maintenance Operative, you will:
Carry out general maintenance, handyman tasks and minor repairs.
Complete painting, decorating and basic carpentry.
Undertake basic plumbing and electrical maintenance.
Complete emergency lighting, fire alarm and basic building checks.
Respond to maintenance requests and ad-hoc repairs.
Work alongside the Lead Engineer and wider maintenance team. About You
To be successful as a Maintenance Operative, you’ll have:
Experience within maintenance, handyman, caretaking or Facilities Management.
Good practical skills across general building maintenance and repairs.
Basic plumbing, carpentry or electrical knowledge.
The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication and organisational skills.
A reliable, flexible and proactive approach. No formal trade qualification is required – practical experience is more important.
