How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    We have an excellent opportunity available based in Aberdeen for a Production Engineer to join an established Oil and Gas company who specialise in underwater connectivity solutions. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that products are manufactured efficiently, safely, and cost effectively to the required quality standards. You will also be responsible for supporting engineering activities on the shop floor making sure that tooling, documentations, quality requirements and processes are implemented and continuously improved.

    Responsibilities:

    * Develop, implement, and continuously improve manufacturing processes and methods.

    * Provide technical support to production teams.

    * Provide day-to-day engineering support on the shop floor, resolving manufacturing and assembly issues.

    * Review engineering drawings, specifications, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and technical documentation to ensure products are suitable for manufacture.

    * Support the introduction of new products and processes into manufacturing.

    * Identify and implement opportunities to improve productivity, quality, cost, and delivery performance.

    * Maintain accurate production and engineering records.

    * Support the transition of new and existing products from design and development into production.

    Required:

    * Previous experience in Production Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a similar role.

    * Experience supporting manufacturing processes, assembly, testing, or product development is desirable.

    * Experience supporting shop floor production activities, manufacturing documentation, tooling, and continuous improvement initiatives is highly desirable.
