How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    What You'll Be Doing

    Deliver engaging and challenging Mathematics lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 if able)
    Use a variety of teaching approaches to support learners of differing abilities and learning styles.
    Track student achievement and implement strategies to maximise progress and attainment.
    Create a classroom culture where students feel motivated, supported and confident to succeed.
    Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and contribute to the continued success of the Mathematics department.
    Prepare students for examinations and help them develop strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
    Promote high standards of behaviour, effort and participation across all lessons.
    Contribute to the wider life of the school and support its commitment to student wellbeing and safeguarding.

    We're Looking For Someone Who

    Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
    Has a degree in Mathematics or a related subject area.
    Demonstrates strong curriculum knowledge and a genuine passion for Mathematics.
    Can build positive relationships with students, staff and parents.
    Has the ability to inspire students and make learning accessible and enjoyable.
    Is committed to creating a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
    Can work effectively as part of a collaborative and dedicated department.
