We are currently recruiting for an experienced Domestic Cleaner to work for our client at a residential care home in Walthamstow.
Role Purpose For the Domestic Cleaner:
The successful candidate will help maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment within the residential care home. The role will involve general domestic duties as well as laundry duties, ensuring residents' rooms, communal areas, clothing and bedding are maintained to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities For the Domestic Cleaner:
* Carry out general cleaning and domestic duties throughout the residential care home.
* Clean residents' rooms, communal areas, bathrooms and other areas as required.
* Complete laundry duties, including washing, drying, folding and ironing residents' clothing and bedding.
* Change and maintain residents' bedding as required.
* Ensure high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and infection control are maintained.
* Safely use cleaning products and equipment in accordance with relevant procedures.
* Follow health and safety and COSHH procedures.
* Work respectfully and professionally around residents and care staff.
* Promote the dignity, privacy and wellbeing of residents at all times.
* Report any cleaning, maintenance or health and safety concerns to the appropriate person.
* Work effectively as part of a team while also being able to complete duties independently.
Working Hours For the Domestic Cleaner: 10:00am - 14:00pm, Monday - Friday and ocassional weekends
Essential Requirements For the Domestic Cleaner:
* Enhanced DBS on the update service
* Previous experience in domestic, cleaning and laundry duties, preferably within a residential care home or similar setting.
* Good attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.
* Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
* Understanding of confidentiality and professional boundaries when working around vulnerable residents.
* Valid Driving License
* Available for an immediate start

£14.00 - £14.00 per hour
