How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Test Engineer – Hardware & Telematics Bench Testing

Location: Tunbridge Wells (Office-based with some on-road testing)

Company: VisionTrack – Award-winning IoT & Video Telematics Innovator

Full UK Driving Licence & Own Car Required

    About Us

VisionTrack is a multi-award-winning leader in IoT, insurance telematics, and in-vehicle video technology. We develop cutting-edge solutions that power connected vehicle data and drive innovation across fleets, logistics, and insurance industries.

    The Role

We’re looking for a hands-on Test Engineer with a real curiosity for how things work. Someone who enjoys bench testing hardware, solving problems, and working with innovative telematics and video devices.

You’ll play a key role in testing our in-vehicle camera and telematics systems, both in the lab and on the road. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build experience in IoT, embedded systems, and connected vehicle technology.

You’ll work closely with our development and QA teams to:

Perform bench testing of telematics hardware using DMMs, oscilloscopes, and other test tools.

Conduct real-world testing of devices in vehicles.

Document and report test results clearly and accurately.

Replicate and communicate issues to the development team to help refine and improve our products.

    What You’ll Need

A methodical, analytical mindset and strong attention to detail.

Practical hands-on experience testing or working with electronic hardware (university projects, hobbyist, or commercial experience welcome).

Confidence using electronic test equipment (e.g. multimeter, oscilloscope, function generator).

Ability to install and remove test equipment in vehicles safely.

A full UK driving licence and your own vehicle, as on-road testing is part of the role.

    Excellent communication and documentation skills.

    Why Join Us?

Be part of a cutting-edge IoT company working with real-world connected tech.

Gain hands-on experience testing products that combine hardware, software, and data analytics.

    Collaborative and supportive engineering team.

Opportunities to develop your technical career in IoT and automotive tech.

If you love getting hands-on with tech and enjoy understanding how connected devices perform in the real world, we’d love to hear from you.
