How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    The Opportunity

We are working with a growing business that is looking to appoint a Junior Power BI / Data Administrator to support the effective management, reporting and analysis of business data.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the early stages of their data career who has a genuine interest in Power BI, Excel and data analysis, and is looking to develop their technical skills within a supportive environment.

The role will involve maintaining accurate data, producing reports and dashboards, supporting users and helping the wider business make better use of its data.

    The Role

Working closely with colleagues across the business, you will be responsible for:

Maintaining and updating company databases and data records.
Supporting the creation and maintenance of Power BI reports and dashboards.
Importing, cleansing and validating data from different sources.
Producing regular management information and operational reports.
Using Excel to analyse data and identify trends, discrepancies and opportunities for improvement.
Ensuring data is accurate, consistent and kept up to date.
Responding to requests for reports and information from internal stakeholders.
Supporting the development of new Power BI reporting as the business requirements evolve.
Investigating data issues and working with colleagues to resolve them.
Maintaining appropriate documentation around reports, data sources and processes.
Providing general administrative support around data and reporting activities.

    About You

We are looking for someone who is organised, analytical and naturally curious about data.

You do not need to be an experienced Power BI developer. The most important thing is that you have a good understanding of Excel, an interest in data and the enthusiasm to develop your Power BI skills.

    You will ideally have:

Some experience using Microsoft Excel, including formulas and data manipulation.
An interest in or some exposure to Power BI.
Good attention to detail and a methodical approach to working with data.
The ability to identify errors and inconsistencies within information.
    Good organisational and administrative skills.
The ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
A willingness to learn new systems and technologies.
A practical approach to problem solving.Any experience with Power Query, SQL, databases, data visualisation or other reporting tools would be advantageous, but is not essential.

    What is on Offer?

This is a good opportunity to join an established business in a role where you will be able to develop your technical knowledge and gain further experience across Power BI, data analysis and business reporting.

The successful candidate will receive appropriate training and support, with the potential to develop the role as your experience and technical capability grows
