You enjoy taking ownership of design activities, solving complex engineering problems, and delivering high-quality Electrical, Controls, and Instrumentation (EC&I) designs. You're someone who thrives in a collaborative office environment and values working closely with project teams to deliver successful engineering solutions.
We're looking for a Senior Electrical Design Engineer with experience in the Building Services market to join our team in Manchester on a contract basis, where you'll play a key role in the delivery of electrical, control and instrumentation design packages across a range of engineering projects.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Senior Electrical Design Engineer, you'll have the opportunity to:
·Lead and deliver electrical design activities across multiple sectors within Building Services.
·Produce and review detailed electrical engineering documentation.
·Develop electrical, control and instrumentation design solutions that meet project requirements.
·Prepare specifications, calculations, schedules and technical reports.
·Create and review wiring diagrams, control schematics, loop diagrams and instrument specifications.
·Support multidisciplinary engineering teams throughout project lifecycles.
·Liaise directly with clients, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
·Ensure designs comply with relevant industry standards, regulations and best practices.
What You'll Bring
To be successful in this role, you'll have:
·A relevant degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related discipline.
·Significant experience as an Electrical Design Engineer withinBuilding Services.
·Strong experience in Electrical, Controls and Instrumentation (EC&I) Design.
·The ability to develop and review electrical drawings, schematics and technical documentation.
·A solid understanding of relevant engineering standards and regulations.
