You will set, operate and monitor automated machinery used to assemble fasteners with washers, making routine adjustments, completing in-process checks and supporting production targets while minimising downtime.
What you will be doing
* Set up, adjust and safely operate automated assembly machinery to product specifications and production requirements.
* Load fasteners, aluminium washers and EPDM liners into assembly equipment and monitor machine performance during production runs.
* Carry out in-process quality checks and routine machine adjustments to maintain assembly accuracy and product quality.
* Identify, troubleshoot and report machine faults, jams, quality concerns and process deviations.
* Complete production, quality and downtime records accurately, including confirming production orders using SAP.
* Work with Production, Planning and Quality colleagues to resolve order, quality and despatch issues.
* Maintain good housekeeping and follow company Health & Safety, quality, environmental and energy-management procedures.
What we are looking for
* Previous experience in an assembly or manufacturing environment is advantageous.
* Basic understanding of manufacturing and quality-control processes, with strong attention to detail.
* Ability to interpret work instructions, specifications and quality standards.
* Good communication and teamwork skills, plus the ability to work independently and manage priorities.
* A methodical, flexible approach and willingness to adjust working hours during busy periods when required.
* Basic literacy and numeracy for production paperwork.
Systems and practical skills
* Basic Microsoft Excel and Word capability.
* Ability to correctly use SAP Production functions.
* Machinery operation is subject to successful completion of the required training.
