How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    ⏰ 36 Hour Basic Week

    🏖️ Three-Day Weekend Every Week

    Ready to take the next step in your machining career?

    I'm recruiting on behalf of a growing aerospace precision company looking for a hands-on CNC Supervisor to help drive production whilst remaining actively involved on the shop floor. They continue to invest heavily in both their people and equipment, creating a clean, modern working environment where engineers are trusted, valued and encouraged to contribute ideas that improve production.

    This isn't an office-based management position.

    You'll still be programming, setting and supporting production whilst becoming the experienced engineer the team naturally turns to for technical support, guidance and day-to-day decision making.

    If you're already the person colleagues come to when they need help proving out a job, solving machining problems or making production decisions, this could be the perfect opportunity to step into a leadership role without moving away from the machines.

    The Role

    Working closely with the Foreman, you'll help ensure production runs smoothly throughout the day whilst leading by example on the shop floor.

    You'll spend your first couple of weeks learning the business, understanding how production operates and getting to know the team before gradually taking ownership of the department.

    You'll become the main point of contact during your shift, supporting Setter Operators, helping solve technical challenges and ensuring work continues to flow efficiently.

    Alongside your machining responsibilities, you'll also act as one of the site's trained First Aiders and play an important role in maintaining the smooth day-to-day running of the machine shop.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Leading a team of skilled CNC Setter Operators.

    * Remaining hands-on with programming, setting and machining.

    * Supporting production planning and workflow.

    * Acting as the first point of contact for technical support on shift.

    * Mentoring and supporting less experienced machinists.

    * Working closely with the Foreman to keep production running efficiently.

    * Ensuring quality, safety and housekeeping standards are maintained.

    * Supporting continuous improvement across the machine shop.

    * Acting as one of the site's trained First Aiders (training can be provided if required).

    What We're Looking For

    We're looking for someone who naturally takes ownership.

    Someone who enjoys helping others, keeps production moving and leads by example rather than simply managing from the sidelines.

    You may already be working as a:

    * CNC Team Leader

    * Lead CNC Machinist

    * Senior CNC Programmer Setter Operator

    * Cell Leader

    * Senior Setter Operator

    Or you may simply be an experienced machinist who's ready to take that next step.

    Experience with either of the following would be highly advantageous:

    * CNC Milling Centres

    and/or

    * Multi-Axis CNC Turning Centres / Lathes

    What's On Offer

    ✅ Four-day working week (Monday–Thursday)

    ✅ Days only

    ✅ 36-hour basic working week

    ✅ Highly competitive salary

    ✅ Optional overtime available

    ✅ Modern, clean and well-organised machine shop

    ✅ Friendly and highly skilled engineering team

    ✅ Genuine autonomy and responsibility

    ✅ Opportunity to become the go-to engineer within the department

    ✅ Work closely alongside experienced management

    ✅ Influence machining strategies and continuous improvement projects

    ✅ Long-term progression within an expanding precision engineering business
