How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job Description

    An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Warehouse Allocator to join our friendly team at our Rugby site on a full time permanent basis! 

    As a Warehouse Allocator, you will also set up and run orders in line with the shift plan to meet scheduled dispatch times. You should work closely with the warehouse First Line Managers to effectively manage resource and ensure that the flow of work is continuous to maximise efficiency.

    Salary: £29,718 per annum.

    Working hours: Monday-Friday, 2pm-10pm.

    Responsibilities of a Warehouse Allocator include:

    Controlling equipment allocation within specified areas.
    Pre-allocating loads and ensuring advanced pick position is maintained in line with shift plan.
    Monitoring and updating shift plans in order to deliver regular progress updates.
    Movement of staff across work areas to maintain correct flow of activities.
    Running orders in line with instruction and scheduled dispatch times.
    Selecting appropriate loading and unloading bays based on current operational requirements.
    Updating the electronic schedule and auto-store systems to maintain an accurate representation of activities taking place on site.
    Carrying out stock shortage investigations on picks and monitoring replenishments.
    Compiling and sending reports as required.

    Qualifications

    Proven experience within a similar role in a fast-paced warehouse/3PL environment.
    Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate internally and externally. 
    IT literate with knowledge surrounding MS Office and various WMS databases.
    Effective organisation skills with the ability to work from your own initiative.
